The all-new 2026 Mazda CX-5 strikes the perfect balance between familiarity and innovation. While its silhouette remains true to the CX-5 heritage, the 2026 model introduces bold refinements that are immediately noticeable. At 4.5 inches longer , most of that in the wheelbase, the new CX-5 projects a confident, stable stance. Up front, Mazda’s Signature Wing grille is framed by LED headlights featuring a distinctive two-tier DRL lighting signature. Every detail reflects Japanese craftsmanship, from fender trim inspired by kigumi joinery to the wide set “Mazda” script on the rear trunk lid, subtle touches that reinforce pride in one of Mazda’s most iconic nameplates. Customers will also enjoy a curated color palette, inclusive of popular favorites, like the available Soul Red Crystal and Polymetal Gray Metallic, along with a new standard color in Navy Blue Mica.
Under the hood, CX-5 launches with Mazda’s proven SkyActiv-G 2.5L inline four-cylinder engine, delivering 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and standard i-Activ AWD, this powertrain has been refined for even more intuitive response. Enhancements include updated shock absorbers, a new wheel and tire setup, and the latest G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC+) with electronic brake limited-slip differential, providing improved traction and confidence whether navigating challenging conditions or enjoying a scenic drive.
Inside, the cabin offers a calm, premium experience, supported by enhanced size and utility such as improved rear-seat roominess, increased headroom, greater knee clearance, and wider door openings for easier ingress and egress. Noise levels are reduced, and every interaction is designed for simplicity and ease. Technology takes center stage with a large driver display, available windshield-projected head-up display, and a 12.9-inch or optional 15.6-inch center infotainment screen. The latest Mazda Connect system, built on Google Automotive Services (GAS) technology, delivers an intuitive, smartphone-like interface and conversational voice-command capability, keeping drivers focused on the road.
